CSL Package Installation

 BHI CSL

Locate your main X-Plane file. Open said file and locate the Resources Folder. Click and open the Resources Folder. Once opened navigate to the Plugins Folder and click and open. In the Plugins folder you will find your Xsquawkbox Resources Folder. Click and open and inside you will find a default CSL package. Copy the contents of BlueHorizon International’s CSL package into the CSL package already there.

Airliners.txt Installation

Locate your main X-Plane file. Open said file and locate the Resources Folder. Click and open the Resources Folder. Once opened navigate to the Plugins Folder and click and open.  In the Plugins folder you will find your Xsquawkbox Resources Folder. Click and open and inside you will find a default Airliners.txt document. Replace that .txt document with the downloaded Airliners.txt document.  

Google Earth.KMZ File

In order for the Google Earth .KMZ File to work you must have Google Earth previously installed. If you do not have Google Earth previously installed please go HERE.  It will automatically install in your "Temporary Places" folder. Just  drag it into your "My Places Folder" and check mark the box for BlueHorizon and for Acars Live map. Then your installation is complete!

XACARS

X-Plane (all Platforms)

  • Download the file which is built for your system (caution, there are different downloads for different OSX versions)
  • Extract the file to any temporary folder
  • Copy all the content of the folder into your X-Plane/Resources/Plugins directory
  • If you are using XAcars for X-Plane on Windows copy the whole content of BASEDIR into your main X-Plane folder (where X-Plane.exe is)
  • You will find XAcars in your plugin menu inside X-Plane 

XSQUAWKBOX

XSquawkBox is an X-Plane plugin for online flight simulation network called VATSIM (www.vatsim.net). It allows X-Plane users to fly on a global flight simulation network with other flight simmers and real live air traffic control. With XSquawkBox you will see other planes and receive real air traffic control instructions, possibly by voice (using voice-over-IP technology), possibly with text instructions.
